I've been drinking the Christmas punch.

My name is Rebecca.

Despite what Francis Xavier Cross may say, I'm the biggest fan Christmas ever had.

None of the photos are mine unless otherwise stated; I just love them.

My dad was a drunk. Sometimes he didn’t come home and sometimes he came home with very weird stuff. Once, he came home with a car he’d bought for two cases of beer. And one time, he came home with a snowman much like this one.  It’s a Stroh’s Snowman used as advertisements in liquor stores. There was a cardboard pole that went up through his foot to the top of his hat and it had a little motor that made him spin rather slowly. In his outstretched hand, he originally held a can of Stroh’s beer, but my mom gift wrapped a tupperware container and put that in his hand instead. We used it as a Christmas decoration for years.  In fact, after many years when the pole had popped up through is little styrofoam top hat and he would no longer spin, we even used him as a stationary lawn decoration.  This fella stuck around for more Christmases, even, than my father had and he (the snowman) is one of my favorite Christmas memories.
